Project Officer

As falling in Seismic Zone – III, Vadodara has been declared as an Earthquake prone and vulnerable city in Gujarat State. UNDP, MHA-GoI and GSDMA-GoG through Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan were conducting a program of Urban Earthquake Vulnerability Reduction Programme (UEVRP) since 2003. Being a Project Officer, a Quantitative Output Report Sheet was provided with set targets in pre-defined 5 major objectives of the program. A number of activities were already performed, though in a duration of little more than two months, we could successfully conduct three training programs, prepared and finalized "City Disaster Management Plan" and for 13 administrative wards of the city, “Ward Disaster Management Plan”. Preparation of these plans was seeking tremendous efforts for data collection from within the ULB as well as other organizations of the city. Within these two months, overall it was giving a significant gain to experience working with local administrative body as a deputed technical officer. Show less
