Promoted to Team Lead in January 2022, taking on the management of three colleagues covering five main area’s: 1) Proprietary Trading Book: proven track record of exceeding targets the past few years with most recently achieving 17x VAR. Managing a team of seven shift operators and covering shifts when required.· Understanding the complexities of any new facility/pipeline/transport route/network entered and training the whole team in its use including required deadlines. Point of contact for the other 6 members of the shift team to provide training and share knowledge of the role. Established many new policies and procedures to aid in the smooth running of the team.• Managed daily nominations for a large portfolio across Europe, whilst dealing very closely with parent company and ensured the company was balanced in each network within the required regulations.• Given full remit to optimise the within day (weekend and day ahead out of hours) portfolio from the traders by trading in the relevant markets. Established the position of gas analyst within the company and organised the information database. Worked closely with the fifteen gas traders to prioritise the extensive workload to achieve the maximum benefits to the desk whilst vastly increasing data flow. • Produced a UK demand forecast on a daily basis and seasonal supply/demand models with various scenarios.• Automated daily and weekly report giving a concise snapshot of demand, flows, prices and storage changes distributed throughout the EDF Group in a timely fashion.• LNG Report listing all expected LNG arrivals to North-West Europe (including historical arrivals), terminal send out and tank levels, berthing slots and tracking possible arrivals.• Monitor multiple data sources (Bloomberg, Reuters and various subscription journals), review and immediately distribute relevant information around the desk/company.• Annual maintenance schedule for Fields, Terminals, Storage Sites and Pipelines in Europe.• Creating and maintaining automated spreadsheets to show:o Live trading position for the gas desk – this generated twice daily position reports, showing changes from the previous day for all gas desk books and markets.o Storage flows and estimated stock levels.• Loading LNG onto road transport – initiated the project, established customer base, demand and requirements. • Evaluated potential new storage opportunities in various countries, calculated pricing structures and entered capacity auctions.• Created daily pricing file for trading customers, sent and received within strict deadlines.• Calculated, monitored and distributed foreign exchange positions on a daily basis and transacted.
