Researched the rehabilitation of under-reinforced masonry structures using fiber polymers (FRP). Designed and tested new methods of effectively anchoring the RFP to a footing under direct uplift loading while achieving a ductile failure. Assisted in research in the area of nondestructive testing and evaluation of delaminations in concrete beams repairs with FRP using infrared thermography. Evaluated existing bare concrete and asphalt overlaid concrete bridge decks for delaminations using infrared thermography.
