During my first laboratory rotation, I performed thermal physiology research in a wet-lab, measuring thermoregulatory behavior under constraining oncological states to determine if there was a pattern in thermal preference. I was able to determine, a pattern in the short 8 weeks of the project even though more suitable experimental equipment and conditions were obtained prior to completion. In my second rotation, I was able to obtain appropriate levels of naive T cells from mice with over 97% purity, and initiate proper stimulation, growth, proliferation/differentiation into memory T cells. My goal was to perform lab techniques typically carried out on a regular basis in a T cell biology laboratory.
