As a Research Assistant in the pharmacogenetics R&D lab, I was working on molecular cloning techniques such as mutagenesis, transfection, transformation, plasmid design, preparation and purification, and end-point PCR. The project aimed at screening the allelic variation of genes impacting drug metabolism, in order to assess the functionality of the produced enzymes.Additionally, as a member of the SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic lab, I was working on RT-qPCR, manual and machine-based extraction of viral RNA.
