  This internship was part of my Master of Applied Psychology course. Its purpose was to allow us to apply the course theory we had learnt to real-world projects. Some of my work included: • Gathering research evidence and assisting with the implementation of evidence-based programs for a client working in the human services sector; • Assisting with the preparation of a report on Victoria’s Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2017. This included compiling research from grey literature and academic journals, and to present the findings to our client in an objective, impartial manner; and, • Assisting a client with the implementation of a national mental health initiative. Our work was to identify implementation strategies being used by the client and to make recommendations for improvement. This required me to familiarise myself with the field of implementation science (i.e., how to ensure organisations and practitioners use evidence effectively) and to learn what are the most effective implementation strategies. This project included meeting with leaders of the program to discuss the progress and challenges with implementing the initiative.
