Senior Sales Associate

I have worked in Optus retail outlets in both Adelaide and Sydney while studying. Apart from routine face-to-face customer service and retail sales activity, I have often been left in charge of the store, opened and closed, carried out banking activities and trained junior staff. I work in a closely-knit team environment and constantly undergo training in new products as they are released. Training covers technical and software aspects, company and legal requirements as well as how to promote and sell the products. I have also monitored and re-ordered stock, set up POS displays and had to meet demanding team and individual sales KPIs. This role has seen me develop excellent communication skills and sales abilities that have allowed me to influence and close orders. I have often had to deal with and calm difficult and often angry customers. Achievements: • Consistently won customer service awards for 100% mystery shoppers • My superior systems and product knowledge was recognised by being tasked with training new staff in all aspects of store operations and sales techniques • I managed the store and the team for periods of up to a month when my manager was on leave

Law Clerk & Administrative Assistant
-
Feb 2015 - Nov 2015
In this role I assisted the Directors, Associates and Solicitors with a variety of tasks pertaining to the cases and projects they were involved. I reviewed files, drafted legal documents such as wills, probate, deeds, leases, memorandums and caveats. I also distributed court documents to their requisite registries, other law firms and counsel chambers. I was often asked to complete research on a diverse range of matters, particularly within the commercial sphere. Apart from these “legal” tasks I also did general office administration functions such as banking, post, filing and general office duties. Achievements: • I discovered through extensive research that the other party in a case has submitted false documentation to the court • My attention to detail was recognised by being made in charge of updating the securities register and reviewing all files and contacting clients if their papers had not been signed correctly due to new legislation • Successfully petitioned on behalf of a client to exempt him from providing medical records to a government agency

Sales Associate (Red Zone Specialist, GE Financing Specialist & Mobile Carrier Specialist)
-
Mar 2013 - Oct 2013
Initially for the first Apple Store to be opened in Adelaide. I provided customer service, and took orders. As the GE Financing Specialist within the large team, my role was to advise customers as well as train other team members on the correct finance procedures, and assert compliant behaviour when required. The Red (connection) Zone within the store focused on mobile connections. I needed an in-depth understanding of 3 mobile carriers and their differing systems in order to provide the best solution for customer needs. The technical, systems, legal compliance and customer service training I received at Apple was second to none. Many of the skills learned highly transferrable and still with me now.
