*This was an unpaid, volunteer position.*Club overview- 1700 members.- Annual turnover of >£60,000.- Race and freestyle teams compete at national level.Responsibilities and achievements- Held positions whilst completing my degree which demanded impeccable time management.- Organised two, week-long, 1500 person international ski events from contract writing to completion which developed my organisational skills and ability to negotiate in a professional capacity.- Managed entire club (competitive and commercial) – liaised with tour operators, university union officials and other clubs which required the ability to develop friendly and professional relationships with a diverse group of people.- Raised thousands in sponsorship and maintained strong relationship with corporate sponsors which required an appreciation of money management and necessitated I negotiate and communicate regularly with large businesses.- As a committee representative on the trips, built on a strong customer relations skillset by dealing courteously with the multitude of issues posed by the 1500 clients and remained a conscientious mediator between the clients, tour operator and local businesses.- Organised all transport for training and competitions.- Represented Bristol University at regional and national level in freestyle ski.- Completed certified minibus driving course and Avalanche Skills Training course (AST-1)
