Performance Delivery Manager for the ‘North’ route at TransPennine Express (TPE), which is the busiest of the 3 routes TPE operate. The routes under my responsibility span from Liverpool and Manchester towards Leeds/York and branching out as far North as Newcastle and Edinburgh. Core role responsibilities include:- Leading post incident investigations that have impacted service delivery with internal and external stakeholders such as Network Rail, BTP and other Train Operators. Tenaciously striving to influence positive change or new practice to prevent disruptive incidents from repeating. - Spearheading internal change within the business to enable more resilient, reliable service delivery to ensure Customer journeys have more scope for resilience and recovery. - Analysis of large volumes of data to identify trends and specific areas where performance improvement is required and acting independently upon findings to drive continuous improvement. - Calculation of daily, weekly and periodic performance data which is then ran into various formats for industry wide presentations. Reforming data into more presentable and understandable formats for audiences both internal and external to the industry.

Incident Controller for TransPennine Express, who are a cross country rail provider across the North of England and into Scotland. Also as part of my role I am also responsible for the Control of First Hull Trains for their Hull to London service delivery, and also Lumo and their Edinburgh to London service delivery and operational control. Typical core role functions include in the moment management of safety incidents and accidents, and also management of the impact to the Train Service Delivery element on the network. Implementing and devising contingency plans and work arounds to ensure minimal disruption to the customer journey when incidents do occur. This is achieved by working closely with Network Rail and their teams who manage the national infrastructure and ensuring we are in unison in the execution of safe work arounds to keep the railway and the passengers of the North journeys continue to keep running seamlessly.Strategic management of the fleet, ensuring diesel and bi-mode units have enough fuel for service, and cycle through depots for required maintenance. Ensuring the fleet is running safely, and any in-service defects on trains are not compromising safely, removing trains with technical issues out of traffic and devising creative solutions when spare units are not available to minimise impact to the customer journey.

Roles responsibilities as a Senior Operations Officer included: In addition to the role of Operations Officer, I was responsible for overseeing the immediate to short-term (next 7 days) Crew Control. Including;-Control of the Crewing element of the operation, and ensuring that there is nil Crew related impact to the group airlines production and operational delivery.-Dispatching standby crews and rerouting or rescheduling crews during disruption and irregular operations, to protect operational delivery and minimise disruption. -Devising Crew and logistical solutions for lucrative go-now ad-hoc charters.-Managing Crews rosters in real time to ensure they are legal and compliant with EASA FTL's and to company and Union working agreements.Additionally whilst:-Working in a dual-role position between Crew Control and Operations Control, to achieve maximum production during the peak operational periods. -Liaising with the Operations Officer and Operations Supervisor with more complex tasks relating to the Operation, to assist with the smooth running of the OCC.-Developing and coaching new members of the OCC for technical elements required for role and customer orientation training.
