Monthly portfolio reporting of the IT investments in Rio Tinto: It involved generating portfolio reports and dashboards that provide the overall Portfolio status, KPIs, financial data, data integrity and other trends to stakeholders at various levels including whole Portfolio, various Product Groups/Business Units, various Regions (APAC, EMEA, AMER etc.) in addition to the tailored views requested by various customers using an excel based reporting tool.The size of the portfolio varied from 300-400 projects.Setting up of new projects in the Rio Tinto IST’s portfolio management tool - Clarity:My responsibilities included checking new project data to ensure that it meets the criteria before converting them as a project in clarity and notifying stakeholders once the ideas were promoted to projectsClosure of projects in the portfolio management tool - Clarity: This involved regular ensuring of mandatory processes being followed as part of the project closure in Clarity. Coordinated with the Enterprise Architecture team and Project Managers on a daily basis to ensure that important End Project documents as per PRINCE2 methodology are collected and stored in the EA document repository.Improvement of existing processes: Using VBA, I automated certain aspects of the report building process which were previously done manually there by reducing the time taken to generate the reports. Project Name:CMEX Workbench CMEX Workbench is a web application that is used by Delivery Managers and Group Project Managers in the Telecom Unit of Infosys. Developed, enhanced and fixed bugs in the code as part of this project. Provided guidance to a couple of new joiners. Gained knowledge of .NET based web applications and SQL from this role.
