Global Promise was created by Zulfi in response to the Tsunami in December 2005. He managed to negotiate donations of money, goods, services and ‘in kind’ support worth over £1m within the first 10 days of operation, and over £6m within 5 years. Global Promise has continued to thrive and make a very positive difference to the lives of people around the world. Zulfi has worked with and helped raise money for many charities including Cancer Research UK, Guide Dogs for the Blind, Islamic Relief, Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Sue Ryder, Teenage Cancer Support, St. Gemma’s Hospice and Yorkshire Cancer Research and more recently co-ordinating local covid response efforts with free food and PPE equipment for the NHS and families.
