I founded and managed financial services practice Goodfunds in 1986. In 2016 our financial services practice joined the national advisory RIA firm, Natural Investments, LLC, and continued serving our clients under NI. Goodfunds' was a state-of-the-art integrated investment strategies office helping investors align their money with their missions and how they'd like to see business, the economy, and the world changing. Services were coordinated using a seasoned team of experts and platforms including private account money managers, mutual fund strategists, proxy vote services, shareholder advocates, charitable giving account services, pooled community investing management, financial planners, insurance consultants, tax advisers, and estate planning attorneys. I was responsible for executive management of investment consulting services, financial planning engagements, and operations. The Finance Committee oversees Seattle Audubon’s general financial management, including but not limited to budgeting, financial reporting, investment policy, and financial reserve policy. The Committee reviews periodic (generally monthly, quarterly, and annual) financial reports and prepares reports for the Executive Committee and the full Board and assists other committees and staff in financial matters. The Committee also works with the other Board and operating committees (primarily the Development Committee) in the creation of the annual operating plan and budget. Show less

CRF was a successful early entrant in the North American community development financial institution industry. The organization later merged into ShoreBank Enterprise Pacific, then Craft3. I served on the founding advisory committee 1986-1991 as the organization negotiated several pivots. Later I was a member of the Finance Committee, and then I managed their cash and seasonal money portfolio. Helped lead the organization through a period of management and strategic transition by improving and maintaining strong prudent financial management procedures and board reporting. Social Justice Fund Northwest is a foundation working at the front lines of social change. They leverage the resources of members to foster significant long-term social justice solutions throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. Social justice philanthropy grants to nonprofit organizations that are working for structural change in order to increase the opportunity of those who are the least well off politically, economically, and socially.
