Jason is the kind of technologist that marketing people dream of - an engineer with a 'can-do' attitude. At Picochip we were involved in a number of projects together, ranging from creative 'proof of concept' type products driven by the marketing department, to vital IOT / plugfest work that required uncommon tenacity and collaborative instincts, in addition to engineering skill.

Pete Tasker

Jason has a wide range of skills in both hardware and software. These are backed up by practical application and problem solving with real world tasks. Jason strives to follow best practice in his work and keeps current with new tools and trends as they emerge in the industry.

I took a big leap and chose another career as an applications engineer for Picochip, based in Bath, UK.Sadly, things did not work out and my stay was cut short and I left due to the company having to tighten its belt and make redundencies. However I still enjoyed my time there and learnt a lot. I wish Picochip goto fortune for the future and hope that their current troubles are temporary. Working as a lab technician in the Electronics Department was one of the best decisions I made.OK, it was not a demanding job, but it gave me a chance to hone my practical skills.I really enjoyed delivering electronics and microprocessor lab sessions to undergraduate and postgrad students as well as assisting PHD researchers with their work.Managing the Novell network in our department gave me the exposure to LAN infrastructure that formed the basis of my now excellent knowledge of computer networks and protocols.
