My responsibilities as a Credit Controller at Bapcor include managing the credit for my Burson Automotive trade territory which includes thousands of customers, including national head office and internal Burson branch accounts within my ledger. I also liaise with Burson branch managers, Key Accounts and collections agencies to ensure risk is minimized across my region. This is done through Aged Trial Balance (ATB) management with advanced excel, outlook and word functions. Furthermore, I am responsible for allocating and importing payments from the bank statement into our Accounts Receivable software Momentum Pro on a daily basis. Being in a credit control/receivables role means I am responsible for liaising with a range of customers from 7-day or Cash on Delivery (COD) accounts with a small monthly spend to 30 and 60 day head office accounts with large monthly spends. Some of which require weekly or monthly reports generated from our system into excel format to ensure swift payment is possible. Despite my short time at Bapcor, I have also been tasked with participating in the Training and Development of new staff members due to my proven experience in prior roles and my friendly attitude towards lending a hand within my team. My in depth analytical skills developed through my years of experience and study have enabled me to learn processes, procedures and systems rapidly. Previous work in Quick-Service Restaurant Manager (QSR), Junior Accountancy and my brief time in a Call Centre have enabled me to adapt current practices in our team to improve my workflow and efficiency using the available resources. My primary responsibilities at 24 Hour Priority Care include; timesheet approvals and processing payroll for 200-400 employees weekly. Onboarding new employees on Xero, CloudPayroll and Deputy as well as Invoicing clients. Further responsibilities include: - Management of company vehicles (e.g., charging rental fees, cleaning, servicing, repairs, insurance etc.) - Creating policy and procedure documentation. - Responding and raising management queries. - Training and coaching new accounts staff members. - Report generation for management. - Payroll automation with excel. - Invoice approvals and distribution. - Internal complaints and queries management for employees. - Client complaints & invoicing disputes. During my time at 24Hour Priority Care, I was able to develop and improve our timesheet approval procedure, reducing the number of outbound calls and emails required in the position by actively researching Deputy and CloudPayroll's capabilities. I also created an in-depth training manual for our processes and procedures using my previous management and training experience within Red Rooster. Whilst employed at 24Hour Priority Care I simplified many processes through the use of advanced excel functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and PivotTables, primarily around Payroll which was largely manual data entry, consuming a large part of the work week and often resulting in overtime. Due to the nature of the payroll process for staff in the residential care sector, payroll was a large part of my position. This is because, Part-Time and Full-Time staff required their weekly work hours to be managed in depth to ensure they are being compensated correctly and are meeting minimum work requirements. This resulted in daily advanced excel reporting to be conducted with CloudPayroll and Deputy, and each time a staff member changed to/from Part/Full time work, Xero needed to be updated in accordance. Assistant Managing at Red Rooster is not just about handling complaints from customers, it means being a role model in the workplace as this will often be the start of a young person's career.
