Mr. Gollan is a phenomenal person and effective teacher for a large range of ages! I was a Latin student of his for three years at Henry Clay High School. He designed and created almost all of his teaching materials, and makes classes interactive with games while challenging students to grow in the language. Mr. Gollan connects class to the real world and makes class time valuable. What says the most about him as a teacher is his care for students individually; Mr. Gollan looks after the students and offers to come in early or stay after school if a student is struggling. He helps several clubs and is on the PTSA as the teacher representative. Mr. Gollan infuses technology into the classroom and utilizes all the resources available at school to maximize and reach each student's potential! Even though I only had him as a Latin teacher he taught my classmates and me much more by using his experience working outside the education system, and living and traveling around the world! I highly recommend working with Mr. Gollan!
