Working with Karen was a true pleasure. I loved knowing that every time she walked into the office I'd be greeted with her friendly and positive start to the day. Knowing her skill sets in creative writing, I often called on her and inspired by her willingness to help. No was never her answer, how quickly do you need it was! Karen's encouragement and feedback was insightful, thorough and truly valued. As a result she quickly became my go to person for any brainstorming activity! Karen has developed an enormous amount of skill sets in her working career, and quick to transfer those skills; developing tools for the team to use when meeting donors for the first time. I found her to be highly diversified. In addition Karen has an extraordinary knack for making friends and acquaintances. She is a true connector and experienced social networker! Business after 5, breakfast meetings!? She is always visible in the community. There is something quite magical about meeting or knowing a ‘connector’. Those unique people who always seem to know how to help, or if they can’t, know someone who can and who quickly and freely put you in touch with them. More often than not they are the ones that make you feel at ease almost immediately, seem to understand situations even before you describe them and ooze warmth, energy and genuine interest in everything! This is Karen and I’m immensely grateful for all of her support. Thank you Karen for being such a wonderful colleague! Your kindness and generosity i won’t ever forget.
