Molly Joyce

I had the pleasure of working alongside Jess for 6 years as Directors of KIPP Through College (now KIPP Forward) for our respective regions, Jess in Columbus and me in St. Louis. She was an invaluable resource as I started to build our KIPP Forward program in St. Louis and served as a consistent thought partner, allowing me to strengthen and expand our programming over the last 6 years. Jess has always approached the work from a student-centered perspective, never focusing on any agenda that didn't serve them. To this end, Jess was (and still is) a fierce advocate for young people and does not hesitate to point out injustice or inequities and then propose a way to address them. In collaborating with her for the past several years, I have grown in my own advocacy and have her to credit. Jess motivates and inspires those around her. As a leader of a team, Jess prioritized her team over self, lifting the voices of those around her and empowering her team to be their best selves in and out of work. Jess has so much to offer, and I highly recommend her.

I had the opportunity to work alongside Jess as I helped to assist her in making a few additional hires for the team she directed in KIPP Through College. Her passion is infectious as it pertains to working in environments that are focused on providing full diversity, equity, and inclusion for all. Her love for providing the best possibilities for communities who historically aren't given those opportunities to succeed is noted. She was always timely in providing details, preferences, and other minutiae that helped our Recruitment team to move quickly on candidates. I would recommend Jess as a strong candidate for any company's needs.
