Laboratory Assistant

Instrumentation and Control Laboratory is one of the laboratories in the Engineering Physics Department that focus on the development of instrumentation including the manufacturing, design until the application of instruments and control. Detection, observation, measurement, and data acquisition process is learned in some field from the industry to medical applications. The Instrumentation and Control laboratory is responsible for handling the experiment of the Automatic Control System course.My roles as a laboratory assistant are:- Becoming an assistant of automatic control system practicum for engineering physics students by preparing the practicum module and designing the practicum course- Doing upgrading with the laboratory assistant about the issues in instrumentation field- Responsible for some project such as training & Instrumentation Study Club- Successfully be the speaker at Instrumentation Study Club 2021 that describe about introduction of P&ID and joined by 75+ participant from Engineering Physics Student

This program consists of lectures, workshops & student group projects based on previously given topics. Kumamoto University and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember were collaborating to prepare the students to be enlightened future generations. Through this program, the students will gain a better understanding of how to face the world in the Society 5.0 era, a super-smart society by learning from international speakers from various backgrounds. In addition, this virtual short program had virtual cross-cultural activities and the participants were divided into 11 groups. My group had to discuss and present the pros and cons of Society 5.0 and also the data-driven economy and their effect both in Japan and Indonesia.

Badak LNG is the largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) company in Indonesia and one of the large LNG plants in the world that is one of the big contributors to GDP for both Bontang and Indonesia in the petroleum and gas sector. My roles as an instrument engineer intern are:- Internship in Department of Maintenance, Electrical and Instrument Section with the topic: Project of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Telemetry System Upgrade Based on Modbus Communication Module that is located in PT Badak NGL Facility.- Recommend the technology that is suitable for telemetry systems in the future.Studied about Instrument and Control scope and learnt knowledge about Processing in LNG.My Task List:1. Learnt LNG Processing2. Learnt about PLC and DCS Processing3. Learnt about Instrument Organization at Badak LNG4. Learnt about Field Instrument especially Control Valve and DIfferential Presssure Transmitter5. Learnt the distribution of feed gas flow from Pertamina Hulu Sanga Sanga to Badak LNG through the telemetry system
