Nickolas is a very committed instructor who is passionate about his work and is eager to communicate that passion to those that work with him. He is very adaptable and was able to handle requests within a short timeline while still producing a high quality of work. Nickolas is a very reliable and trustworthy employee that was able to keep multiple lines of communication open with the multiple partners serviced with our organization.

Nick demonstrated many outstanding qualities during his internship at Caterpillar. He is a very fast learner, eager to absorb knowledge and always ready to ask valuable questions. He demonstrated an excellent ability to understand the complex SAP systems that we are deploying and the ways in which they inter-relate. Nick also has excellent communication skills, which he demonstrated working not only with his core group but also to our system users. One thing that I particularly noticed is that he is the rare type that can have a fine attention to detail but still can accomplish his goals quickly. Nick completed many assignments during his internship that were highly complex and would be challenging for anyone new to the company. The manner in which he completed them, delivering timely and high quality work, was very impressive and garnered much positive attention from his colleagues. I think Nick will be our gold standard in the future should we pursue hiring additional interns. I am happy to recommend him and very glad that I had the pleasure to work with him.

Pod People is a social networking application for podcasts. I used python web scraping libraries to build a database (using PostgreSQL) of the most popular podcasts on the iTunes directory, with all associated episodes. The back-end of the application is a REST API built using the Django Rest Framework. The front end is a SPA built using React, styling done with SASS/SCSS. Please visit at podpeople.app !
