It was my absolute pleasure to be asked to provide mentoring to Shang En during her time at UCL. This mentoring was provided as part of the Microsoft Embrace Mentoring program; a 8 week program where Shang En attended multiple internal training and mentoring sessions to support her devolvement. During my interactions with Shang En, I found her to be a keen, highly focused, intelligent person with an open mind and a refreshing willingness to embrace other experiences. It was also very evident that she is highly motivated to succeed in her chosen career path, that of law. Shang En possesses a keen analytical mind and an aptitude for critical thinking, allowing her to fully embrace the programme and take from it new perspectives and approaches. During the programme, Shang En made sure to seek out opinions and welcomed constructive feedback, demonstrating a genuine desire to broaden her understanding and approach. Shang En is a dependable and punctual individual with excellent communication skills and a keen eye on preparation prior to meetings. Her professionalism and positive attitude make her an asset to any team or organization. Although early in her career, I have no hesitation in highly recommending Shang En for any opportunities that come her way. She is a driven, intelligent, and open-minded individual who will undoubtedly make significant contributions to the legal profession. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any further questions or would like to discuss Shang En exceptional qualities in more detail. I wish her all the very best for the future
