Business Services & Unclaimed Property Director

Mar 2007 - Feb 2012
Led a team of 13 Treasury employees in two departments covering banking operations and unclaimed property. During my time in Treasury, I modernized the office by implementing systems that reduced the amount of paper-based processes, such as unclaimed property claims and employee and vendor payment issuance. In 2009, I led the implementation of an online auction initiative associated with unclaimed property, gaining national recognition as a pioneering State that employed this new service and strategy. I also worked with Rhode Island's Secretary of State to rewrite the Department's records retention policy.
