The JET Programme aims to promote grass-roots international exchange between Japan and other nations. My role within the program was broad ranging, involving the development and co-teaching of English language lessons, teacher training through JET conferences and collaborating with local government to create English language advertising and guiding. Key responsibilities and achievements - Concurrently developed and co-taught English language lessons to over 800 Elementary and Junior High School students, collaborating with upwards of 25 other teachers- Worked in collaboration with local government to market, promote and guide a range of cultural events with the aim of attracting foreign audiences- Took part in teacher support and training at skills development and orientation conferences- Created and implemented a language testing set designed to encourage a balance of macro-skill development within the curriculum- Organised guest lecturers to increase students' cultural exposure and experience with native language speakers- Successfully provided specialised training for international high school examinations
