Alastair is a manager with exceptional qualities. One of them being to empower people, and create profit thanks to the growth of the top line. I owe him a significant part of my career progression within the industrial division of Saint-Gobain gypsum. He asked me how we could grow, what resources were needed and what the payback would look like. Together, we did a survey, we prepared a business plan, we decided to invest into local capacity and people. At the end of the day, we delivered the targeted bottom line Growth.

After 4 years working with Alastair as my boss, I can say that he is the best boss I ever had. He is a very organised person completely focus to profitable business and customer oriented. Great global initiatives was born from him during my 4 years with him. His management style is strongly aligned with the strategy and with the objectives but flexible with people with very good empowerment. He doesn’t hesitate to spend time to explain the things as much as necessary but after that he doesn’t practice a close controlling management style, which is good to develop people. If I could choose, I would like to work with Alastair again as my boss.
