Project Lead, BulSU HeIRIT Regional Startup Enablers for Ecosystem Development

Funded by the Department of Science and Technology, we organized the Central Luzon regional startup ecosystem consortium - Startup Ecosystem Leveraging on Opportunities and Networks for Growth (SULONG) Central Luzon. With this project, we aim to create, establish and implement a regional startup development program.

Project Lead, i-DRIP (IoT-Based Dispenser for Real-time Intelligent Pour)

This project is funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) under the Collaborative Research and Development to Leverage Philippine Economy (CRADLE) Program in partnership with Bulacan State University and Purenectar Company. We are developing an IoT-based real-time control and monitoring system for smart beverage dispensing. This smart dispensing solution powered by the Internet of Things ensures that every serving is precise, helping both the consumer and beverage manufacturer monitor their consumption. Additionally, this project aims to help the beverage industry to move from using single-use bottles to refillable ones, reducing their adverse environmental impact.

Funded by the Department of Science and Technology, this project aims to establish the university technology transfer policy, including its processes. The university Technology Transfer and Utilization Services Office (TTUSO) was established through this initiative.

Center Manager and Project Lead, DOST-BulSU BARAS Technology Business Incubator (TBI)

BARAS TBI is an enabling facility that aims to galvanize awareness and interest towards technopreneurship/technology commercialization which is significant in encouraging collaboration and mutual growth among stakeholders (Academe, Government, and Industry) in the community to support early stage entrepreneurs. The establishment of this research support facility is in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) and Bulacan State University (BulSU)As Incubator Manager, is responsible in building and leading the Incubator team. In charge of leading the incubator operations which includes; overall planning the resources and activities such as pre-incubation, incubation, events and workshops, mentor network, partnerships, marketing the incubator and business development and funding for incubatee projects.

Project Lead, Virtual Reality Applications for INnovative Learning (VRAIN)

This is the result of a project funded under Institutional Development and Innovation Grant (IDIG) of the Philippine Commission on Higher Education's (CHED) entitled 'Virtual Reality for Engineering Laboratory Classes: a Solution to the Problems of Laboratory Setup and Management'.We design and build Immersive virtual reality (VR) application in teaching and learning engineering laboratory classes to lessen the cost of acquisition, as well as repair and maintenance of laboratory space and equipment. This project initially focuses on digitizing or developing virtual reality environment on pneumatics and basic robotics classes. It incorporates artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide a virtual facilitator for a real-time and efficient assessment and evaluation of student’s performance.

Under the Institute for Economic Empowerment, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Professional Fellows Program (YSEALI PFP) is a fully-funded exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. YSEALI PFP provides emerging leaders from Southeast Asia the opportunity to spend five to six weeks in the United States gaining professionally relevant fellowship experiences at non-profit, public, or private sector organizations. The program is designed to promote mutual understanding, enhance Fellows’ leadership and professional skills, and build lasting and sustainable partnerships between emerging leaders in Southeast Asia and the United States.

Huawei ICT Academy, a school-enterprise cooperation project involves higher education institutions, to help build their talent ecosystem. As the coordinator and one of the instructors of the academy, I organize “Train the Trainers Program” where faculty members will be taught under the company’s comprehensive program and earn Huawei’s certification. I together with my fellow instructors also conduct the same training program to students and alumni of Bulacan State University. Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) brings together the most successful and talented engineers from across the profession –the Fellows – to advance and promote excellence in engineering for the benefit of society. Under its Leaders in Innovation Fellowship (LIF), a postgraduate certificate program established in 2014, RAEng creates international networks of innovators, expert mentors, and technology entrepreneurs. It is a non-stock and non-profit organization with 50,000 members inside and outside of the country, organized in 1950.
