I first met Flavio Gil Becerra when he enrolled in my ENC 1101 class. His attitude during the semester and his choice of major impressed me. He was always a most interested and responsible student. His major, naval architecture, was quite original. Many of his composition essays explained how he decided to major in that field. I have been teaching for many years. In that time, I have had many students whom I quickly forget. Flavio remains among the ones whom I remember. I am sure he will be a great addition to any university program and to any company after his graduation.
