I was privileged to meet Frank many years ago at the IMC conference in Philadelphia. He impressed me with his determination to build a music career from the ground up, and his seriousness in learning all that he could from that conference. He was a very talented guitarist, and has since formed his own band and has a very loyal fan base. I have enjoyed watching Frank grow into a very professional artist!

Those of you that know me already know I had a band called Frank Porter's Problem Children and that I play a mean lead guitar. Many of you who know me may never have seen this other softer side of me. For me this is a return to something I have always loved. Acoustic guitar. I have always owned and played acoustic guitars. I more or less destroyed (not intentionally like The Who or Kiss) a very nice Jasmine 12 string just by non-stop gigging with it for 5 years. I was calling it the never-ending tour the last couple of years and my hand actually gave out along with that 12 string at one show prompting me to take a well deserved rest. While recovering from the tour after a bit of much needed rest I decided maybe I could play my electric guitar 1967 Les Paul Standard. I was saying things like it won't hurt my hand. It's much easier to play electric guitar... So that's how I got in to a band. I was searching for band members the entire acoustic tour. I found them when I was on break at an open jam at a local music store that is not there anymore... Studio 611 or something like that in Pipersville, PA. So the band went through many changes and finally ended. I went further into my acoustic side and turned up the heat too. What this means is, with the addition of the looper pedal to my act along with a new look I am undertaking a major shift towards putting a new band together.I will continue to do acoustic shows and acoustic duo shows while the band grows. We've got a long way to go before you will see the full band in any venue but rehearsals are happening. Who knows what will come from this at this point... stay tuned! The new album is not finished yet but is sounding great! Can't wait to release to all of you! Show less

The ongoing roller coaster ride that is Frank Porter music. I've gotten to take it across the northeast a few times sometimes as a solo act sometimes a duo and sometimes a Rock Power Trio which is where I want to be and where this project is going. The latest incarnation is called Frank Porter's Problem ChildrenThere should be gigs in the near future as ""FPB" takes flight for the first time in public. So stay tuned for exciting up to the minute developments.

Rock and Roll. No seriously... Rock & Roll---. Writing, performing, and recording. Will consider session work on Guitar, Bass, Drums, or Mandolin. Can do some harmonizing too. Rock and Roll. I was the lead guitarist in band called Rhythm Method and so what I did was I rehearsed and played live and worked on recordings. I did contribute one piece of original music to the project. It was a short lived band. It's a shame because we had a great group of talented people in that band.
