Bendik was one of 12 students in Vipps' summer internship program, where he was one of the three designers. Their task was how can Vipps help charities and non-profit organizations raise money. They worked in cross-functional teams consisting of product owners, developers and designers. Throughout the weeks they dabbled in design sprints, user testing, user interviews, MVP scoping, agile methodology, prototyping, iteration, creating designs for development and get feedback from users, customer and mentors. Bendik is an excellent service designer who goes above and beyond to get insight and feedback from the users. Bendik’s drive for user insight is exceptional; calling, mailing, guerrilla testing, reaching out to everything from small companies to world-wide organisations; all to make sure they’re making the right design decisions. Bendik was also tasked with helping his co-designers learn more about service design and the importance of user insight, with success. During his time at Vipps he also developed skills within design process, user interface design and software (Figma). Bendik is a lovely person who showed great teamwork, not just with designers but also developers, product owners and the Vipps mentor team. Bendik has a great sense of humour, team spirit and definitely the type of person who cheers on everyone around him. I highly recommend him as a designer and a colleague.
