I was responsible for sales of rubber/plastic solutions, entailing the customer relations and new customer procurement. As sales engineers I also was responsible for determining the customer requirements, manufacturability of the product, cost evaluation and pricing. This was done in co-operation with manufacturing and R&D personnel, when necessary. I also made mould acquisitions and actively participated in their design. I also managed the projects from the first contact to the mass production phase. In some customer projects, I worked in co-operation with the personnel of our China factory, as a sales/technical/product expert. Even though the main focus was in the rubber and plastic products, I also gained some experience in castable polyurethanes and Nyrim materials.

My M.Sc. thesis work subject was The Effect of Different Nanofillers on Processing and Properties of EPDM Rubber. I was responsible for designing and scheduling test series for testing different commercially available nanofillers. I made the compounding, manufacturing and testing of the specimens myself. Testing required me to familiarize myself with several testing standards. I participated in introduction of a new mixing machine and made instructions on how the data gotten from the machine could be transformed into more usable form.

Summer job as research assistant. I was part time research assistant in project, which mapped different multifunctional materials. My job was to make a market survey about the state, availability and properties of biodegradable polymer materials.
