      Atlas Copco Service Contract with Newmont mining . Day to day Scheduled Maintenance repair Breakdown and Product support to Fleet of DML-50 , PV271 Pit Viper,s and L8 blast hole rigs. Started with Atlas Copco at Boddington Gold mine run by Newmont in 2008 as a Drill Fitter , After 6 months became leading hand of that crew , very busy times with 13 rig,s going 24/7 and in very hard ground. Later being promoted to Maintenance Supervisor which entailed daily meeting s with Newmont management regarding the planned and unplanned maintenance , Constant control of part,s ordering and warranty work being done, Preparing Scheduled maintenance and insuring parts delivered to site for planned work.       Started contracting to Macmahon,s at Niffty copper as a Drill Fitter, on site were 3 GD -5000 and 2 Montabert blast-hole rigs , all were in pretty poor condition , I was able to keep them running till the end of the contract . Sent up to Elendale Diamonds to help start up new pit and get all machines up and running including the Diggers Trucks Dozers etc form other sites.       Employed by Stanley Mining I was sent to Ghana and then up to Burkina Faso to assist with the Exploration program that had just been started. Training and supervising National Mechanics on the daily preventive maintenance ,breakdown,and servicing on exploration Rigs ,support Vehicles and equipment, UDR 1000 Multi-purpose rig,s and KL-1200 R,C Rigs , this was a very remote location with temperatures up to 55c and dessert storms, a Logistical nightmare when trying to get parts and equipment to site.       Moved to Kalgoorlie to start work with Ausdrill while waiting for position to become available in Peru South America. Ausdrill Kalgoorlie at the time had a large fleet of exploration Drill,s operating in the field from Diamond , Rab , Air core to R,C with Diamond tail, long hole. What I found most interesting was working on the Hover-Craft with a KL-900 R,C Rig mounted to it drilling over a large salt lake ,good experience. I was then sent over to Peru to help Train National mechanics and maintain 4 UDR 1000s and a Schramm 660 which were scattered in different remote location,s around central Peru, Most difficult part of job was travelling through extreme altitudes up to 5000 mtr,s above sea/level and though the mountain ranges on road,s that had 1000 foot drop off,s, Again working in extreme temperatures down to -30.       Started in the Mining / Drilling industry with Atlas Copco in Perth, Given training in Perth on the lastest Service Rig to come out at the time, the ROC 936 ,later to become 942- 952, I was then sent up to Mt Magnet Branch to offer support and service to Ausdrill who had the Rig at Big Bell Project in Cue. Along with the Hire Dept Fitter we ran the Atlas Copco branch and ended up with 13 different mine sites that we were giving field Support to , from Golden Grove under ground to Peak Hill and Newman operations. One of my last job,s was contracted via Atlas Copco to Brandrill to maintain all the service Rigs, including Atlas Copco Hire machine,s the rest Brandrill,s ,, drilling out the very first rail cut and load out tunnel from Yandi which is now Yandi 1 and 2 .
