Through an agro-forestry approach we teach sustainable land management practices that not only feeds people and increases incomes, but also improves the environment and quality of life for everyone. Since its founding in 1989, Trees for the Future has planted more than 120 million trees worldwide. I'm a former Board member of this organization and was very glad to have an operational role for two years. I oversaw a number of areas: IT infrastructure, contacts database development and deployment, building facilities management, coordination and production of multiple fundraising events and trade show displays, all while significantly growing revenues from many hundreds of corporate partners. These partners enjoy significant and affordable brand differentiation by integrating tree planting and soil restoration with their product or service offering. During my tenure cause marketing revenues from business partners grew an average of 12% per year, and the churn rate was reduced 50%. I negotiated the first multi-year $500K sponsorship commitment in the history of the firm, and established warm relationships with some wonderful companies located all over the world. I also played a role in growing the Facebook audience from 17,000 to 64,000 followers, and helped grow the in-house geo-targetable emailing list by 50% to 18,000 recipients. Show less
