Conducted a study to investigate and document the practices and strategies adopted by the microfinance members (those having attended FL training) in managing the cash, finance and household expenditure after the Government of India announced the demonetisation on 8 November 2016. The focus group discussion (FGD) and personal interviews with the FL trained microfinance members and the master trainers (MT) were held. The set of members having attended the FLWE training (i.e., experiment/case group) as well as the set of members not having attended the FLWE training (i.e., control group) are covered in the study to analyse if the FLWE training proved helpful for the members in coping with the effect of demonetisation.
