My first role was to support the Java development teams by managing how libraries were built and shared for the Irish Revenue Commissioners. Subsequently I joined the Revenue's Database Administration Team to assist with managing releases and maintenance. In this role I identified some inefficiencies in the release process and introduced some simple changes that significantly reduce the time, effort and inconvenience of releases. I moved to a testing team for Bank of Ireland, focusing on performance testing and analysing the effects of load on their daily banking systems. My final role with Accenture was with AIB working on Asset Control market risk software. I became an expert in the software worked on projects such as implementing business rules, integrating Bloomberg, Reuters and Telekurs feeds and analysing and correcting bugs in production. Show less
