Host at Wedding Hall
-
Jan 2019 - Present
I currently work as a Host at Southern Oaks every weekend. I help to ensure that every wedding here goes smoothly and make sure every guest is happy in the building during the event. This requires event planning, communication with guests and staff, crisis management, and a good attitude in the hospitality business. Working here has taught me that effective communication and hard work for one night can leave a couple's wedding day seeming like a perfect one. I worked as a volunteer Summer Camp Councilor since I was 15 years old and did this every summer throughout High School. I helped entertain and teach children of all ages how to communicate with one another and build relationships over their times at camp. I later became a paid Lifeguard at this same location and helped teach young kids to swim throughout the 8 weeks at camp. I helped build a long lasting memory and summer experience for children of all ages at Lake Castle.
