The main focus of this study is to bring new insight on the understanding of the blast-induced injury mechanisms and finally, provide some ways of improvement of the personal protective equipment which can be worn. -I have worked on characterization of material model and validation of SUFEHM skull and brain model in Pam-CRASH and ABAQUS. Also worked on modeling of FE head model for a new born child in LS-DYNA platform and validation. -Drop tests on helmets. -Testing on abdominal tissue -Uni axial static compression and tensile tests on abdominal tissue. It also involves material characterization of abdominal tissue.

Strasbourg Area, France Dissertation: Brain injury criteria based on computation of axonal elongation Biomechanics team of IMFS specializes in the field of biomechanics of head injury. This research includes the steps of mechanical characterization of tissue, finite element modeling of the human head and the numerical simulation of real head injuries. One of the main objectives is to identify the mechanisms of brain damage and set the tolerances limit to the shock of the head.
