While attending UC Davis, Derek earned his degree in Communications and Contemporary Leadership. During that time, he played NCAA soccer, attaining the prestigious honor of being a part of the first team in UC Davis history to earn a D1 playoff berth, and did so two years in-a-row. His athletic experience has imprinted a sportsmanship mentality and a sense of determination and persistence. Derek’s dedication and tenacity is what drives him to achieve excellence, not only on the field, but specifically in the real estate profession. Derek began his real estate career as an investor, acquiring multiple properties throughout California over the last ten years. After college, Derek relocated to Redondo Beach to start a career with one of the largest medical device companies in the world. He quickly achieved numerous awards and recognition, becoming the first sales representative in his division to hit quota. After five years in the industry, Derek realized that his true passion lied in real estate, and of course golfing at his beloved club, El Niguel. He decided to relocate back to Orange County, with his fiancé and their Golden Retriever. While trying sell his residence and find the perfect home for his family, he quickly realized the challenges and obstacles that sellers and buyers face while searching for their dream home. His experience led him to obtain his California Real Estate license, where he now utilizes his years of experience in negotiating and handling large valuable transactions with the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
