Caleb is a highly competent engineer and manager. He is one of the best I've ever known at "bridging" user requirements into usable software. He is capable of managing multiple reports and is a very effective communicator. Caleb has always gone the extra mile for me, consistently above and beyond my expectations, and has always shown loyalty and commitment to everything he does. Caleb has my highest recommendation!

I've been leading all things IT for TRIPBAM, Inc. since 2011 after co-inventing this exciting, disruptive hotel shopping service for travelers and travel managers. TRIPBAM puts a new and refreshing spin on hotel booking by monitoring one or more hotels on a daily basis to find the absolute best rate up to the point of check-in. In January 2015, I took the role of Chief Technology Officer; in this role I will continue to help grow the IT team and guide the road map from a technology perspective.

In 2007, after 15 years in software design, architecture, management and process improvement, I started my own consulting firm. Creativa Consulting offers end-to-end IT services and builds enterprise-grade web applications for a wide variety of industries. We use cutting-edge technologies to deliver robust, high-quality business solutions with the perfect blend of form and function. After a long career at TRX in management, I decided to strengthen my technical expertise and joined the Software Design & Architecture Team. This team focused on architecture, process re-engineering and keeping the company aware of new technologies that had positive impact on the bottom line. In this position I was trained at Carnegie Mellon University by the Software Engineering Institute and became a Certified PSP Developer and an Authorized TSP Coach. I also re-engineered the Requirements Gathering and Design processes at TRX and became the Chair of the Design Committee, a cross-team composition of key product stakeholders that produced high level design for strategic features.

    • Manager, Operational Development
      • Jan 2004 - Dis 2005

With a company restructuring and merging of a few teams into one, I headed up the Operational Development team to improve and maintain quality as well as create a more seamless experience from support to development and testing. I managed anywhere from 4 to 8 developers on this team and we worked on many projects outside of the flagship booking tools, including RESX Reports, a Web Services integration platform, RESX Profiler, load testing, test beds, automation and other strategic products. Under my leadership, this team reduced the number of defects in our backlog by over 85% while maintaining a strong focus on strategic integrations.

    • Director, Software Development
      • Mei 2003 - Dis 2004

In this position I was in charge of the RESX development team as a whole. The team was broken out into 3 teams and I had a handful of managers reporting to me. I learned a great deal about leadership, resource development and interaction with the executive level. I managed the day to day operations and strategic direction of the solution as it continued to grow and gain market share.

    • Manager of Software Development
      • Apr 1999 - Apr 2003

In this position I started managing the RESASSIST product development team. I helped steer the evolution of RESASSIST into a next-generation online corporate booking tool. With over 10 employees reporting up to me and some great leadership by my side, RESX was born. Due to our very early adoption of Visual Studio .NET while it was still in BETA, myself and 2 other managers were featured in a multi-page spread of the May 2003 edition of .NET Magazine. With a refreshed technology stack and an invigorated team, RESX quickly gained market share, becoming the #2 corporate booking tool in the industry.

    • Senior Software Engineer
      • Okt 1997 - Mac 1999

I was hired at Travel Technology Group (TTG which became TRX) on October 15, 1997. I dove right in as a developer of the corporate online booking tool, RESASSIST. I spent my first two years at this company as a software engineer, writing dozens of features and becoming familiar with the travel technology domain. During this time, I created 2 entirely new solutions from the ground up, both of which are still in use today - DATABRIDGE and ProfileSync (later renamed to RESX Profiler). I also standardized & automated the build procedures, helped establish the framework for web server load balancing, evolved real-time monitoring and more.

    • Head of Software Development
      • Jan 1993 - Okt 1997

I started at KBI (KnowledgeBroker, Inc.) in the technical support department, answering calls for our various call center clients. Within 2 months I took over the call tracking software, started building new knowledge base software (integrated with call tracking) and formed a software development team within 1 year which consisted of 6 developers and 4 technical writers. In my career at KBI, I built many products but the most notable was the ASK.ME solution, which I worked with a major distributor, Denon, to put on the shelves of major stores such as CompUSA. These knowledge bases and solutions are still being updated and sold today.
