The DFC Program Director is responsible for assuring that the programmatic terms and conditions of the Drug Free Communities grant are achieved through the day-to-day operations of the Coalition for a Drug Free Lyons township. • Assures achievement of the goals and objectives outlined in the DFC grant application to address the two DFC goals of (1) establishing and strengthening collaboration among communities, public and private non-profit agencies and Federal, state, local and tribal governments to support the efforts of community coalitions and (2) reduce substance use among youth and, over time, among adults • Oversees effective implementation of the 12-month Action Plan and any updates or revisions thereto inclusive of the “Seven “Strategies for Community Change” • Leads development and measurement of core measures for alcohol, tobacco, marijuana and prescription drug use • Participates in DFC trainings and the “DFC Me” management and evaluation system • Learns and successfully applies the “Strategic Prevention Framework” ( SPF) which is a five-step evidence based process for community planning and decision-making • Assures timely submission of all required grant reports and data. • Works collaboratively with the Coalition Executive Committee and members to achieve grant goals and objectives • Works collaboratively with PCH leadership and finance team to assure appropriate financial and regulatory oversight of the grant.
