Andrea is one of those exceptional therapists that remains restless to continue growing and learning to bring the best of treatment to her clients. I worked with Andrea at South Pacific Private when she was the Family Therapist and was warmed regularly by hearing the testimony of the family members and clients as they transformed from the experience of working with her. Then to have seen the transformation with the Daring Way programs after training in San Antonio Texas with world Shame and Vulnerability expert Brene Brown, and the wonderful opportunity these groups give her clients to heal deep wounds at the core, and from the inherent value to transform their lives. Andrea is also a referral source for our clients for Somatic Experiencing work with Complex Trauma from Developmental abuse, a best practised, Body focused approach to trauma helping clients achieve deep, efficient and last results. One of the gifts working in this field is that you get to work along side passionate creative driven people , that carry the light within them, Andrea is certainly one of those and I could not recommend her more highly.

Dr Roby Abeles Psy.D., LMFT, SEP, PACFA Supervisor

Andi is a truly a rare find in the world of trauma-informed experienced and impressively skilled psychotherapists here in Australia. I had the pleasure of being Andi’s educator at ACAP and then her supervisor for several years as she gained skills and experience as a cutting-edge trauma-informed therapist. I have been impressed as I watched Andi not only meet my requirements to use her as a referral, she has now availed herself of even more up-skilling and training. Andi is also trained in Brene Brown’s "Daring Way" process, and is now completing her Masters of Science degree in Medicine (Psychotherapy). Andi is committed to expanding her experience and skills, and participates in ongoing professional development beyond what is required by PACFA. I am thrilled to welcome Andi to the Abeles Consulting team, and I confidently recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent trauma-informed therapist.

Engaging on any level with therapy is essentially looking into yourself. It is rewarding, difficult, and one of the bravest things you can do. But you are not alone.I provide a safe and nurturing counselling and psychotherapy service, built on compassion and respect. Humility, and a non-judgmental approach are vital ingredients to my service.I enjoy working with people and helping them to resolve issues caused by overwhelming experiences. My other passion is running groups for professionals exploring their courage in their own work and leadership.

The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was developed to help men, women, and adolescents learn how to show up, be seen, and live braver lives. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing a courage practice that transforms the way we live, love, parent, and lead. It can be facilitated in clinical, educational, and professional settings and is suitable for work with individuals, couples, families, work teams, and organizational leaders.
