On the eve of the completion of the GATEway project, it is highly appropriate and incumbent on me to write a personal recommendation for a Man I consider to be the linchpin of the GATEway project. Andy Frost is the epitome of British spirit, intellect and resolve. A pleasure to work with, Andy ensures inclusivity for all. I have no doubt that Andy will be at the forefront of the safe delivery of Autonomous Vehicle trials and services in our cities for years to come. A great honour and privilege to work with you Andy!
Ian Kemp
I have had the pleasure of working with Andy over the past couple of years, both in his role at TRL and at Westfield. Andy has a great mix of skills - his project management ability has been clearly demonstrated during the projects we've worked on together, but there are 3 more areas that I would highlight for Andy that should make him stand out for any potential employer: - He does not shy from making difficult decisions and is prepared to get all the parties round the table either physically or metaphorically to work through complex issues and come out with an agreed action plan and clear next steps. Whilst not confrontational, he is prepared to stand up for the project and deliver pragmatic and consensual outcomes, even when dealing with difficult personalities - Unlike many programme managers I've worked with Andy not only makes sure he understands the technology and detail of the project, he is also happy to 'get his hands dirty' and 'roll up his sleeves' where necessary to ensure delivery. In terms of commitment and time devoted to roles, there are not many who can match Andy in his desire to see a project to a successful completion - Use of social media - a sometimes missed skill in project / programme managers is the ability to 'tell the story' and engage with wider stakeholders around the progress, benefits and bigger 'eco system' of the project. Andy is adept in using LinkedIn and other professional social media mediums to promote and share a projects deliverables and benefits. In all, I would heartily recommend Andy. Ian Kemp 2/3/18
