I had the pleasure of working with Joe for 18 years. As a manager Joe would give employees space to take ownership of their projects without micromanaging. This fostered a creative space where people were encouraged to use their own intelligence to develop innovative solutions to problems, often at great value to the firm. He has a great technical mind and because of this he is not afraid to take unconventional approaches to solve problems rather than follow the herd and do whatever the latest ILTA survey recommended. This allowed our firm to provide client services far beyond what would be expected of a mid-sized company.
