  My responsibility was to update and maintain the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) systems for the Gas, Water, Sewer, and Electric departments. I also collected data using a survey grade GPS data collection system by Trimble. I used the data to do analysis for project planning and maintenance mainly for gas and water. I also create customized maps when needing to displaying information that is important to the project.My other responsiblity wasto create CAD drawing for TDOT permits for proposed projects of gas, water, and electric. I also created As-Built drawing gas and water. I also gained field experience with gas, water, and sewer main/service line installation and repair. I also got to work with the City of Harriman on their Urban Growth program, providing them with data about the areas of interest. I also get to use my mechanical and architectural drafting skills from time to time.
