  Area of scientific activity: Characterisation of lytic genes encoded by mycobacteriophages with antimicrobial activity against mycobacteria (PTDC/SAU-FCF/73017/2006). During this project I was able to develop my knowledge and experience on: DNA manipulation, PCR, cloning, electrophoresis and E. coli DNA transformation, sequence analysis, expression and purification of proteins, western blot, microscopy – SEM and confocal and cytotoxicity assays.
