Abhay is a one-man power-house, with a passion for his profession of technical communication. His dynamism and energy have transformed the Auckland branch of TechCommNZ. Not only has he introduced regular, engaging branch meetings, but he has also taken care to record and share them. He encourages the other branch coordinators to do likewise, and helps them with post-production. He also provides social media coordination for the organisation. He's full of brilliant ideas while also being flexible and practical - a powerful combination.

Steve Moss

With his committed approach to organising and running branch meetings, Abhay has revitalised the Auckland branch activities of TechCommNZ. Leading his small team at Orion Health, Abhay has started running monthly events that attract enthusiastic audiences, who come from as far as Tauranga to network and attend the interesting presentations. By running the events on a different week-night each month, he has helped ensure that participants with other regular commitments can still attend, which may be one of the reasons for the spectacular success of these sessions. He has chosen a range of topics that clearly appeal to local members, including an enjoyable quiz evening, presentations on the value of technical writing services, the use of video-based instructional material and even a one-on-one session with Paul Trotter, founder of Author-it Corporation. Although Abhay's team has done an amazing job, thanks should also go to his employer, Orion Health, for giving their ongoing support and providing an outstanding venue.
