Bio

Zwee and I were both volunteers at the Australian Federation of International Students (AFIS), and we have worked on several projects together. During that time, I have gotten to know Zwee quite well and can thoroughly vouch for his character and abilities. Zwee is always a pleasure to work with because of his tenacity and positive attitude. In particular, we worked most closely on the Mid-Autumn Festival & Movie Night hosted by AFIS last year, where Zwee was project manager. He was proactive in coming up with ideas on hosting the event; what was originally just a cultural event became a fun-filled, trivia-packed buffet dinner with performances, followed by the screening of a horror movie (epic!). Despite the adverse condition in having less than competent officers within the project department, Zwee was able to adapt and still produce quality outcome. He personally applied to three different governmental departments to ensure the public screening of the movie goes smoothly; he directed the decoration of the venue when the responsible officer was absent; and I had the pleasure of accompanying him to Footscray to purchase mooncakes for attendees. Zwee manage to pull through a successful event under the given circumstances. From our interaction, Zwee is one of the most committed person I know. After leaving AFIS, he continued to pursue his interest in giving back to the international student community; he, along with the Victorian Aids Council and Study Melbourne, established the Rainbow International Students Network (RIS’N) to support the LGBT international students in Victoria. It has been truly a pleasure to work with Zwee, and I believe that he will be a valuable personnel to your firm. If you have any question feel free to reach me at emilly.gunawan@gmail.com.
