It was a pleasure to serve as one of Gabriela's supervisors for two years during her internship at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. Thanks to her diligence, positive attitude, and passion for her work, she quickly became an integral part of our team. She was able to seamlessly move between departments, depending on where she was most needed, and picked up on new projects quickly. I am confident she will do the same in all future roles!

I had the honor of working with Gabriela for nearly 2 years at the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. As an intern, Gabriela was asked to do a variety of tasks— everything from database management and administrative duties to helping students in virtual tours and assisting in the archives. No matter the task, Gabriela took it on with confidence and a positive attitude. The entire staff loved working with Gabriela, not only because of her willingness to try new things, but also because she was a great conversationalist and hard worker. Mature beyond her years, Gabriela was outgoing and had no difficulties working with a variety of individuals which often included elderly visitors, stubborn docents, frustrated employees, and loud children. She could lighten even the most tense situation. I am very excited to see Gabriela’s next steps in college and beyond. I have no doubt that she will excel in any role she takes on (and she will do so with a smile).

I helped with a digitizing project for the museum library by scanning museum photos and artifacts. I assisted in virtual tours of the museum by driving the iPad cart and following the educator who teaches to those joining the tour virtually. I also updated volunteer activity on Salesforce/Patron Manager for the museum. I used my attention to detail when helping the development office pair envelopes and thank you letters going out to donors and business partners. I sealed and stamped the envelopes in order to get mail sent out as soon as possible. I have also helped find books and craft activities to be recommended to students and children. They get recommendations from the museum in order to learn about the Holocaust as well as themes like equality and recognizing and acknowledging bias.

While working at Axxess I rotated departments, gaining experience with each new task that I completed. I updated client survey information on company software. I also completed data entry by reviewing and typing survey information on Microsoft Excel sheets. I opened and scanned bounce mail and set it aside for it to be shredded. I worked at the front desk as receptionist while also helping with rental cars and flight details for members of Axxess travelling for business meetings. I also spent time working with Salesforce completing more data entry for Axxess.
