Ana serves as Vice President of MHN. Her work involves the execution of various programs and services related to outreach, promotion, and education.Ana leads efforts for all MHN initiatives across the country. As a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), Ana develops targeted disease education materials & programs for men and their families on various health topics. She provides health education/discussions for participants at community health events & conducts men's health seminars/lectures. She coordinates community-wide health events which range from churches in under-served communities to large events partnering with professional sports leagues across the country. Responsibilities also include: • serving as a liaison to Congressional offices and the White House;• founding member of the Dialogue on Men's Health;• trainer/facilitator for the Certified Men's Health Educator (CMHE) credentialing;• serving as a MHN spokesperson in various media & interview formats;• alliance development & relationship building;• member of numerous advisory panels & advocacy roundtables representing men's health;• leading MHN's Men At Work program at over 40+ corporate sites;• contributing writer for publications;• coordinating and executing community wide health screening events; and • volunteer Leadership Board Member of the APHA Men's Health Caucus (Program Planning Chair; Chair Emeritus)Ana's publications include a chapter in the international book “Sports-based health interventions: case studies from around the world”; journal articles such as “The Economic Burden Shouldered By Public and Private Entities as a Consequence of Health Disparities between Men and Women” published in the American Journal of Men’s Health, and also white papers such as “A Framework For Advancing The Health Of Men and Boys In America, A Position Paper Issued by the Men’s Health Braintrust.” Previous MHN position: Director, Health Education & Health Promotion
