I deployed multiple projects to promote adoption of renewable energy resources to build next generation distribution grid. Furthermore, I lead distribution utility and actively engage in incorporation of solar, EV, battery storage, and new technologies. I also seek out new business models to implement technologies like distributed storage to improve grid reliability while mitigating costs and reducing losses. I function closely with state regulators to create appropriate policies and business models. List of my Key Contributions: • Spearheaded a USTDA supported program in 2018 to develop regulatory framework to deploy a broad portfolio of distributed energy resources that includes EV, distributed storage, demand-response, and various renewables. • Elevated grant funding in excess of $2M to lead projects in collaboration with EU commission, USTDA, and USAID for adoption of smart grid technologies. • Governed an industry, leading 12-month study to evaluate integration of rooftop solar with distribution grids in 2014. • Set up India's leading Smart Grid lab, working with over 150 global technology partners and academic institutions, such as MIT and University of Chicago. • Oversaw project to deploy over 150MW of rooftop solar in New Delhi with benchmark policy followed across India. • Headed projects in "Energy as a Service", integrating generation SCADA with DERMS to build new programs for an urban microgrids, deploying EV charging infrastructure, and rolling out innovative portfolio planning tools with DR and storage.
