Since 2016, lead the American Society of Hematology’s (ASH) strategic priority efforts on recruitment and retention of hematologists and ASH’s multiple workforce studies. Lead and grow ASH’s career development training programs in clinical research, translational research, and medical education in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Mediterranean, and Asia-Pacific. Responsible for strategic and operational leadership of trainees (i.e., pre-medical students, medical students, residents, fellows, pre- and post-doctorates) and early career professional development activities. Lead the unprecedented and strategic Hematology-Focused Fellowship Training Program (HFFTP) initiative from concept to implementation to continued oversight, a $19 million investment over eight years funded through the ASH’s reserves that is poised to create 105 new hematology-focused fellows by 2030. Responsible for trainee-related programming at the ASH annual meeting including the creation and oversight of the innovative ASH-a-Palooza launched in 2018. Lead ASH’s revalidation of Maintenance of Certification (MOC) advocacy efforts and serve as the liaison between ASH and the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Medical Specialties. Also serve as the staff liaison between ASH and the Association of American Medical Colleges, the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Develop and deliver compelling presentations on the latest trends and proposals for groundbreaking initiatives to the ASH Executive Committee (ASH Board) and the American Board of Internal Medicine Hematology Specialty Board. Other responsibilities include: • Serving as member of the ASH Senior Leadership Team • Managing a team of six high-performing and dedicated staff• Managing consultant and vendor relationships• Providing fiscal oversight of $5 million operating budget• Manage $1.5 million R25 National Institute of Health grant

Created and led the strategic vision and mission for the Medical Education Cluster in leveraging online teaching, learning, assessment, and educational program evaluation resources aimed at driving innovation and best practices along the continuum of medical education. Increased member engagement and ensured the financial sustainability of current and future online initiatives in the Medical Education Cluster. Led a partnership with the American Board of Medical Specialties to create online Maintenance of Certification Self-Assessment activities. In 2012 envisioned, advocated for, and executed the a suite of services to help member medical schools assess their achievement of education and accreditation standards and optimize the use of medical education data, informing education research and supporting continuous improvements in academic program effectiveness. In 2005 co-founded, developed, launched, and managed MedEdPORTAL, a repository of peer-reviewed educational teaching and assessment resources indexed in MEDLINE for medical educators and learners around the globe. In 2007 led the expansion and scope of MedEdPORTAL content to include additional health professions by partnering with the American Dental Education Association and later the American Psychological Association. In 2002 led the promotion and implementation of a national curriculum database for the association’s member US and Canadian medical schools. Developed and delivered numerous compelling presentations to the Association of American Medical Colleges Board of Directors, American Dental Education Association Board of Directors, American Board of Medical Specialties, and the Liaison Committee on Medical Education on the latest trends and groundbreaking initiatives.Other responsibilities included: • Served as member of AAMC Leadership Team• Managed team of 13 high-performing and dedicated staff• Managed consultant and vendor relationships• Managed $1.5 million operating budget
