Colleen Louw
I had the pleasure of working with Michael on 2 of Verisign's large scale programs – the rollout of DNSSEC and implementation of IPv6. He is one of the few people I've met who is able to think and plan strategically while still having a handle on all of the details. While working in his PMO, I always admired his depth of knowledge about project and program management and his dedication to seeing our work performed with discipline and excellence, things he didn't shy away from doing himself. He is not afraid to ask the challenging questions and conducts his work with passion and a genuine desire to do the right thing to ensure results are delivered for his stakeholders.

While I was in SW-QA and Mike managed projects being developed, he did NOT try to by pass QA, nor short shift the QA process. He encouraged the Developers and QAers to work together in ways to test the software and find solutions to problems that were found in QA. Often the problems were some aspect of scale that arose from Developers having only a few boxes to initial test projects on and QA had a full size production equivalent system. Mike fully grasps that maintaining 100% up time for a critical global system means motivating people to work together towards the common goal.
