Using Cisco's network management tools I remedied network incidents to make sure the network of the company stays stable. If I see a trend in the issues I would submit it to higher level technicians to make an enterprise-wide change to the network scheme to fix the reoccurring issues. I used a ticketing/reporting system known as remedy on a daily basis and have a number of tickets assigned to me daily to be resolved. I would sometimes create hundreds of tickets a day and help remedy just as many along with teammates. Show less

I assisted with network infrastructure and technical support services catered to the customized IT services and solutions that the customer required. Having to provide everything from network maintenance to end user application support for companies big and small my daily focus was on the customer service i delivered by making sure my quality, cleanliness and speed was the best it could be. This position taught me quite a bit about about basic network infrastructure and how it relates to day to day business. I also learned a bit about evaluating IT needs of companies big and small and how to implement those needs for the company in a money and time-saving fashion. Show less

While in the military I learned about how important it is to take charge of your team and use them to the best of their abilities. So that the task at hand can be accomplished as quickly and efficiently as possible. Also I learned about policies and procedures the best way to create, implement and enforce them. The military requires you to be very resourceful at all times while many think they my manage your time severely many times I would be assigned tasks and left to figure all of it out on my own. All in all the military taught me how to take and delegate tasks as well as team, time and project management. I feel all of these skills and even some not mentioned carry over well to the civilian side of my career. Show less
